Once again we have two excellent stories for you this month! Our first story is “The Garden of Dead Ideas,” by William Squirrell; our second is “In the City of Kites and Crows,” by Megan Arkenberg. Megan’s work has appeared in over fifty magazines and anthologies, including Lightspeed, Asimov’s, Shimmer, and Ellen Datlow’s Best Horror of the Year. She has also edited the fantasy e-zine Mirror Dance since 2008. She currently lives in Northern California, where she is pursuing a Ph.D. in English literature. Visit her online at http://www.meganarkenberg.com. William Squirrell’s writing has appeared in Interzone, The Future Fire, Daily Science Fiction and other venues. More information can be found at blindsquirrell.com and on twitter @billsquirrell.
This should be the last month we’re publishing two stories–we’re caught up on our back log, so starting in March we’re back to one a month. Today is also the last day of our submissions window, so get those in soon if you haven’t already. (We’re lax on our deadlines but not that lax.)
Also, stay tuned! Sometime over the next month we’ll be finally updating our backlog from the Past Issues page for ease of navigating our previous stories.
Thanks for reading and submitting, and I hope 2019 is treating you well.
